十幾年前，我在朋友引薦下，到一位姓莊的議員辦公室，滿懷希望的遞上我的企劃書。

 
那時候，我不至於沒聽說三萬變三千的事，但我還天真地以為有些事善事你做，面子你拿，不會事事如此貪得無厭。

沒記錯的話，企劃書大題應該是「站起來、跳出來」....
 

我想我們都遇過，有些小朋友比較不幸，在生活歷練還來不及累積，小小心靈還沒學會堅強之前，卻比其他人更早面對親人死亡、家庭破裂、意外事故。
我相信，一直相信。有時候，一本書就能開啟這些小心靈，讓他們站起來，走出來。
當然，最後那企劃書並沒談成。原因，大家要猜也不難。

回頭看這十幾年，我覺得這夢還在，依然美好。我後來在詞曲版權、平面出版、 專案統籌、兒歌和繪本創作、產品行銷各方面的學習，原來是上天給了我多十幾年的時間去準備。
不懂是不是人到了一個年紀，就更體會夢要及時。年初，毅然和太太在居鑾開了一家藝文小店，同時著手籌備創作兒童歌曲專輯和新的繪本，「站起來+走出來」這睡了好久的種子，似乎也感應到我這顆心的溫度，趁春天離開之前，再次萌芽。

我會買一台貨車，後車廂改裝小表演設備，帶著烏克麗麗、木箱鼓和行動音響，載著繪本和禮物，約兩三位朋友到幼兒園、小學、孤兒院唱兒歌說故事。

前年，我把250個各方的生日祝福，一個祝福一塊錢，捐給慈善村；去年的祝福，350捐給修成林。
今年，我把你們500個生日祝福捐給這台會說故事唱兒歌的車。

另外，我和阿Hann哥哥即將在下個月底推出兒歌EP，收錄7首創作。首200張親筆簽名版，以每張RM50進行募款。
 

如果你捐出RM100，除了EP，我們也會送上我和阿Hann哥哥的親子產品「當我們童在一起」，裡頭有三個繪本故事、三首兒歌和繪本故事的有聲版。

我們都是郵差，讓我們坐上這台車，傳遞愛。

A decade or so ago, I was recommended by my friend to submit a proposal of a project at a council member's office.

Back then, I did know there were stories of 30,000 dwindling to 3,000. But I was still naively thinking that somebody would do charity work silently and let others take the fame and glory. In other words, I didn't believe one would have such an unlimited desire to gain more money and fame at the same time.

If my memory serves me right, the proposal's theme was Stand Up and Jump...

Perhaps everyone of us has bumped into unfortunate children—well before they accumulate experiences in life to learn to become strong-minded, at an earlier age they have to deal with different scenarios—death of their loved ones, broken family and accident.

I believe merely a single book will open their mind and prepare them to welcome a brand new life.

But of course, my effort was to no avail — and you can guess what's going on.

Reminiscing the past decade, my dream is still lingering in my mind, and it's as beautiful as it has always been. Now only I realised that fate allocates more than ten years for me to prepare for my dream. The preparation includes my later involvement in music and lyrics composing, book publishing, writing projects of children songs and picture books, project management as well as product marketing.

Reaching certain stage in life, perhaps we will understand that we should realise our dreams timely. While writing children songs and new picture books, I have also started an art shop in Kluang with my wife earlier this year. Perhaps the dormant seed of Stand Up and Buck Up has sensed the warmth of my heart, and the seed will germinate before the end of spring in 2013.

I will buy a van and its rear part will be modified into a mini stage equipped with ukulele, cajon and mobile audio system. Together with several friends of mine, we will share our songs and stories with children at kindergartens, primary schools and orphanages.

Two years ago, I turned 250 birthday blessings from family and friends into a donation of RM250 for Charity Village. It was RM350 for Sau Seng Lam last year.

And in 2013, I will take your 500 birthday blessings as a donation for this singing and storytelling van.

Meanwhile, Brother Hann and I will release an EP of seven children songs by the end of next month. And we will sign the first 200 albums—pricing RM50 each—for fundraising.

If you donate RM100, in addition to our EP, you will also receive our gift—the parent-child product When We Are Together picture books (3 stories), with three children songs and the sound version of the picture book story.
